After the Biden administration and private business mandates began this past summer, Pfizer began sending out it’s donations to Iowa legislators for 2021. We hear all the time that our legislators are not swayed by their corporate donors and PACs, that politics in Iowa is different than in DC. For some people that may be true, after all one can’t always control who gives them money.
As the Medical Privacy and Freedom Act begins making its way through the House State Government committee this week, we will be watching to see if our legislators choose to uphold the oaths they took to protect the rights of the people they serve or if they will appease the donors they accept money from. Given it is an election year we hope they know this is a top polling issue among voters.
