Who is Fact-Checking Mainstream News?

Newsweek wrote an article on Tuesday’s rally at the Capitol. They reached out for our comment after publishing, and we obliged, but as of yet haven’t updated the article with it along with the other changes we suggested such as spelling Rep. Shipley’s name correctly, acknowledging this was not just put on by our organization rather many other freedom organizations as a group, and to point out we aren’t “anti” anything except mandates and fact-less public health slogans. Overall the article captured those courageous leaders standing up and speaking truth to defend the rights of Iowans.

“Iowans are here today because they are tired of legislators protecting corporate interests and donors over their unalienable rights to medical privacy. For far too long legislators, especially those in leadership, have shielded Iowans from votes that would expose those in the party who do not respect individuals’ constitutionally protected rights. More than 5868 emails have been sent from only one of our email campaigns alone to encourage legislators and the Governor to act, while the civil rights commission received over 120 complaints in the month of September in regards to non-housing issues. Our message to our elected officials is that inaction or ineffective policies masquerading as solutions to employer mandates and vaccine status discrimination could have consequences come the next election.”
